What does "Your Price" mean?
A different way to pay
These albums were written and recorded on Coastal Miwok and Chochenyo-speaking Lisjan Oholone lands - the occupied territory of Huichin. I offer my deep gratitude to the original peoples of these lands, who stewarded both the lands and many practices I utilize in my own healing. I’m so grateful for all my teachers, and their teachers, all our ancestors and helpers in this life. I offer these records and all my songs as an act of sacred reciprocity - a gift sourced through me by everything that has contributed to me. I offer portions from all proceeds to my teachers to honor those connections.
As you choose “your price” for these songs, consider what sacred reciprocity would look like for you - where you are in your own healing and in your position in this life? If you have financial resources, consider offering more than “average” to support the continuation of this healing work or to reflect how you feel about the songs. If you cannot pay, receive these songs with my blessing, and consider offering another form of sacred reciprocity - perhaps sharing them with others in gratitude. When we are intentional about the energy of exchange, we connect ourselves to each other, re-weaving ourselves into life and community, reinforcing that healing belief that “I belong to you, and you belong to me” (Amy MacClain, The Paradox of Love) .
